An Important Perspective

Image
YOLO. FOMO. Treat Yo Self. All words and phrases that have never described me... haha. I have always been more conservative, more focused on school and work and saving my money than relaxing, vacationing, and spending money. My dad has always said it takes a crowbar to get into my wallet when it comes to spending money on wants. Don't get me wrong I love helping people and charities, but it's hard for me to spend money on myself. I've always been a 'saver' so that when rainy days come and I need money, I know I have it. It's an interesting perspective looking back on it--and being married to someone with more life experience and a healthy view that spending money on wants isn't always a bad thing. Yep, I just said healthy; now it's written and must be true.  I enjoy working. I enjoy earning money in return for my hard work. I enjoy putting others and their needs in front of my own.  Here's an important lesson I have learned: You've got to be sta...

Reflections

Luckily, there are many times in life where we are able to reflect on past experiences. Part of living this mortal life means limited vision--we can hope, dream, and plan for things to happen, but we cannot control every aspect of our future. We don't have "eyes to see", but God does. I mentioned previously that he now works at Specialized, but looking back at how he got there and continues to progress, we can't look at that and not recognize and be thankful for God's hand in it all. There is so much we simply cannot do alone....

Hi! I'm not a blogger, but would like a new way to write out my thoughts, and have a way family and friends can follow our adventure we call life as changes continue to take place.  My name is Kaylee, and my husband's name is Patrick. We got married in October 2019 and have been loving life together.  Patrick worked for five years in finance/commercial loans, and I worked for five years for Brain Balance. Although we were comfortable and liked our jobs, we both felt the need for a change and after much prayer and searching, Patrick now works for Specialized Bicycle Components and is loving it, along with completing his degree online. My time is split between being a substitute teacher and taking care of an individual with disabilities. I find it so interesting looking back and thinking I knew why I was changing jobs and had an idea about what was in store, but later finding out there were even more prayers behind the decision, not from me, and being able to help be an an...
